Celebrating Growth, Leadership, and New Beginnings Across Our Schools
This season, we proudly celebrate the incredible girls who have completed the Who’s Your Hero? program at Los Amigos, Solorio, Hughbanks, and Bemis Elementary Schools. Each of these young leaders has shown remarkable growth, resilience, and heart throughout the year—and we couldn’t be prouder!
🌟 A Year of Discovery and Empowerment
Throughout the year, our girls participated in weekly sessions where they explored topics like confidence-building, healthy friendships, leadership, peer pressure, media literacy, community service, and more. Through art, discussion, games, and guest speakers, they began to see themselves not just as students—but as heroes in their own lives and communities.
Whether learning to code the word “HERO” in ASCII through beaded bracelets or working together to build marshmallow towers symbolizing strong foundations, each girl embraced the message: You are capable. You are valuable. You are a leader.
💬 Voices of Courage and Integrity
Each session began with The Pledge—a simple but powerful affirmation of self-respect, kindness, and accountability:
“I am a noble person. I respect myself. I also respect others. I am helpful. I take responsibility for my actions. I pledge to act with integrity in all situations. Yay!”
Our mentors were honored to walk beside these girls as they began living these words in their actions at school, at home, and with each other.
🎉 Graduation: A Celebration of Character
The graduation celebrations at each school were joyful and meaningful. The girls received certificates and shared reflections on what they had learned. Many shared dreams of becoming teachers, nurses, engineers, and changemakers. And each of them left with the understanding that their journey is just beginning.
